Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting using professional diagnostic equipment Complete general automotive repairs, maintenance, and thorough vehicle inspections Perform digital vehicle inspections using Shop-Ware Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and completed work Communicate repair needs and findings with service advisors and shop leadership Maintain high standards for repair quality and efficiency Handle a workload that includes approximately 30•35% diagnostic work Qualifications At least 5 years of professional automotive technician experience A-Level or strong B-Level technical ability Strong general automotive repair experience Automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience diagnosing drivability concerns and automotive electrical systems Independent repair shop or dealership experience Compensation & Benefits $40•60/hour, based on experience and skill level Weekly pay Flexible compensation structure 40-hour guarantee for the first 90 days for flat-rate technicians 100% employer-paid single health insurance 100% employer-paid short-term disability Employer-paid $50,000 life insurance policy Dental, vision, and long-term disability coverage available 401(k) with employer match Paid holidays Uniforms provided ASE reimbursement and ongoing training Local toolbox transportation assistance available Why Work Here Carrigan Auto Group operates multiple repair facilities, including European, all-makes, and truck-focused shops. Technicians have access to factory diagnostic tooling for many of the makes serviced, along with Autel, Snap-on, iSCAN, Opus, and other professional equipment. Each location has a shop foreman available for technical support, while service advisors handle parts ordering so technicians can stay focused on diagnostics and repairs. The shops use Shop-Ware for shop management and digital vehicle inspections, with training available for technicians who have not used the system before. The team maintains a relaxed, professional environment with regular team activities and shop lunches. The Monday-Friday schedule provides consistent weekends off.
