Vehicle Preparation | Lot Operations | Quality Control Carrigan Auto Group - Manchester, NH $18.00-$20.00 per hour | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | No Weekends Make Every Vehicle—and Our Facility—Customer Ready At Carrigan Auto Group, the job isn't finished when the technician puts down the tools. Before a repaired vehicle is returned to its owner, it needs to be clean, presentable, properly staged, and given one final look. Our facility should be held to that same standard. We're looking for an Automotive Reconditioning & Final Quality Technician to support Precision Imports and Precision Autoworks in Manchester. This position combines vehicle reconditioning, lot operations, facility support, customer transportation, and final quality control. A major part of your day will be washing and vacuuming customer vehicles after service. You'll also help keep our offices, customer areas, bathrooms, common areas, and parking lots clean and organized. Finally, you'll serve as the last set of eyes on completed vehicles before the keys are returned to the customer. If you take pride in clean, finished work, notice the details other people miss, and don't need someone constantly telling you what to do next, this could be a great fit. What You'll DoVehicle Washing and Reconditioning A significant portion of your day will be spent preparing completed vehicles for customer delivery.
You will:
Wash customer vehicles after repairs and service Vacuum vehicle interiors before delivery Remove normal shop-related dirt, dust, fingerprints, footprints, and debris Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, door openings, and other areas as needed Make sure floor mats and interior items are clean and properly positioned Keep the wash and detailing areas clean, stocked, and organized Work efficiently so vehicles are ready before the customer arrives Stage completed vehicles for customer pickup We want customers to open the door to their repaired vehicle and immediately feel that it was treated with care. Final Vehicle Quality Control After a vehicle has been repaired and cleaned, you'll help complete a basic final inspection before delivery.
Responsibilities include:
Review the repair order and confirm the listed work appears to have been completed Check for warning lights or other obvious concerns Look for visible fluid leaks, loose parts, or anything that doesn't appear right Verify underbody shields, splash panels, engine covers, and other removed components are properly installed Confirm wheel center caps and valve-stem caps are installed Check tire pressures and fluid levels when directed Road-test vehicles when requested Report anything questionable to the technician, foreman, or service advisor before the customer sees it You are not expected to diagnose complicated automotive problems. You are expected to pay attention. Facility Cleaning and Organization This is not only a vehicle-cleaning position. You'll also help ensure our Manchester facilities remain clean, professional, and presentable.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning and maintaining customer and employee bathrooms Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping offices and common areas Emptying trash and replacing liners Cleaning counters, tables, doors, glass, and frequently touched surfaces Keeping customer waiting areas and shared spaces organized Restocking bathroom and cleaning supplies Keeping entrances, walkways, parking areas, and delivery areas clean Identifying cleaning or maintenance concerns before they become bigger problems We're an automotive repair business. Things get dirty. Part of this job is noticing what needs attention and handling it without waiting for someone to point at it. Lot, Transportation, and Shop Support You'll help keep our operation moving by: Organizing the parking lot and vehicle-storage areas Moving cars, SUVs, vans, and light trucks throughout the facility Helping technicians with vehicle movement Retrieving parts when needed Providing customer shuttle rides Assisting with vehicle pickup and delivery Helping wherever needed to keep technicians productive and vehicles moving Let's Be Clear About the Job You will wash cars. You will vacuum cars. You will clean bathrooms, offices, and common areas. You will spend time outside and in the wash area. You will move vehicles and provide customers with rides. You will also play an important role in making sure our vehicles and facilities represent the level of professionalism expected from Carrigan Auto Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working around vehicles and wants more responsibility than a traditional lot attendant, janitorial, or entry-level detailing position. What We're Looking For The right person: Takes pride in clean, finished work Has strong attention to detail Sees something that needs to be cleaned or handled and takes care of it Can work independently without constant supervision Works efficiently without sacrificing quality Is comfortable washing and vacuuming multiple vehicles throughout the day Is comfortable cleaning bathrooms, offices, and common areas Notices when something doesn't look right Has good communication skills and a positive attitude Is willing to jump in wherever needed Can safely operate cars, SUVs, vans, and light trucks Can drive both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles Has a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Previous detailing, reconditioning, dealership, repair-shop, facilities, or lot-attendant experience is preferred, but we're willing to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic.
