Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Auto Technician Mechanic, certified as TECH A, B, C, and ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified, to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance with enthusiasm and precision, ensuring our customers' vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise in diagnostics, mechanical systems, and various automotive technologies will drive your success in delivering top-tier service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles, including GM models and heavy equipment, in a fast-paced environment that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics tasks with precision while adhering to manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently. Read and interpret schematics for complex systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical wiring. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle performance meets or exceeds expectations. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. ASE certification at TECH A level or higher; certifications in diesel engine repair, brake repair, suspension systems, transmissions, and electrical systems are highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, ADAS technology, air brakes, alignment services, shocks & struts. Skilled in using diagnostic tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues across various vehicle makes—especially GM vehicles. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair instruments efficiently. Knowledge of automotive maintenance procedures such as oil changes and tire services; familiarity with heavy equipment mechanics is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and team collaboration.
