Lead Lube Technician / Shop Lead Prestige Auto Wash & Quick Lube Hillside, NJ Full-Time About the Position Prestige Auto Wash & Quick Lube is seeking an experienced Lead Lube Technician to oversee the daily operations of our Quick Lube department. This is a leadership position for someone who is highly organized, mechanically knowledgeable, customer-focused, and capable of managing a fast-paced service environment. The ideal candidate will lead by example, perform high-quality maintenance services, supervise technicians, manage inventory, coordinate scheduling, and ensure efficient day-to-day shop operations while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Primary ResponsibilitiesShop Operations Oversee the daily operations of the Quick Lube department Ensure vehicles are serviced efficiently, accurately, and safely Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Open and close the shop as scheduled Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures Maintain quality control and minimize service errors Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of automotive maintenance experience Previous leadership or supervisory experience Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic knowledge Experience performing oil changes and preventative maintenance Inventory management experience Employee scheduling experience Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Valid driver's license Preferred Experience with the ISI Point-of-Sale (POS) system Can speak English and Spanish Experience managing a Quick Lube or automotive service department Sales and customer service experience Skills Mechanical knowledge Inventory management Staff scheduling Shop operations management Team leadership Customer service Time management Problem-solving Multitasking Attention to detail POS/Computer proficiency Quality control Preventative maintenance expertise Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on vehicles throughout the day Comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Performance-based commissions Employee discounts Stable, year-round employment Supportive team environment Why Join Prestige Auto Wash & Quick Lube?
