Overview Join our dynamic team as a 12 Volt Technician, where your expertise in automotive electrical systems and electronic components will drive vehicle innovation and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and install advanced electrical and electronic systems in a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your technical proficiency and mechanical knowledge will be essential in delivering top-tier service that keeps our customers moving confidently on the road. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex electrical systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), vehicle wiring, and electronic modules using automotive diagnostic tools. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot issues across vehicle systems such as powertrain, transmission, suspension, and lighting. Install, maintain, and upgrade 12-volt electrical components including alarms, audio systems, lighting, sensors, and other electronic accessories. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to electrical systems, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic software to complete repairs efficiently. Conduct vehicle system inspections focusing on electrical integrity, wiring harnesses, sensors, and control modules. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while providing excellent customer service by explaining work performed clearly and professionally. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with automotive electrical systems and diagnostics. Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and automotive electrical theory. Familiarity with ADAS technology and the use of automotive diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex systems. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension system repair, alignment, and diesel engine repair. Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for various vehicle makes including GM vehicles. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience with auto estimating software is a plus; familiarity with vehicle systems diagnostics is essential. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
