Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Automotive Technician to join our team and drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. As a leader in our service department, you will oversee daily operations, mentor junior technicians, and ensure the highest standards of automotive service are delivered. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing complex issues, performing advanced repairs, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team while working on a diverse range of vehicles, including GM models and diesel engines, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the automotive repair team to ensure timely and accurate diagnostics and repairs. Perform advanced diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues efficiently. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance. Oversee vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignments, wheel balancing, and suspension work to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs with precision. Interpret technical schematics and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) data to troubleshoot complex electronic systems. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards while maintaining detailed service records. Mentor junior technicians by sharing expertise on automotive electrical systems, auto body repair, and general maintenance procedures. Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and vehicle care to enhance customer service experience. Skills Extensive dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Proficiency in working with ADAS technology and interpreting schematics for electrical troubleshooting. Deep mechanical knowledge of powertrain systems, diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service tools efficiently. Experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable. Ability to perform wheel alignments and auto body repairs when necessary. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and the use of diagnostic software for troubleshooting. Familiarity with maintenance procedures for various vehicle types including trucks and passenger cars.
