Job Description

Fleet and Equipment Mechanic Busy Commercial Property Maintenance Company seeks an experienced Fleet and Equipment Mechanic skilled in maintaining and repairing lawn equipment and trucks. We need an organized, detail-oriented multi-tasker with exceptional technical skills to keep our operations running smoothly. The role involves servicing lawn mowers, weed whackers, chainsaws, and trucks (pick-up trucks to F650s), ordering parts, and ensuring all equipment and vehicles are in top condition.
Position Requirements:
  • Proven experience repairing and maintaining lawn equipment (lawn mowers, weed whackers, chainsaws) and trucks (pick-up trucks to F650s).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Must have own tools.
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance on lawn equipment and trucks, including oil changes, greasing, and repairs as needed.
  • Inspect and maintain nightly sweeper trucks, ensuring they are ready for operation.
  • Check and refill DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) for applicable trucks.
  • Mix and fill fuel tanks for crews weekly.
  • Order parts and supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate with dealerships for major truck repairs beyond in-house capabilities.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Valid drivers license (CDL License a +).
  • Industry certifications or technical training
  • Strong technical skills in the field of engine\small engine repair. 5+ years experience (preferred).
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
  • Weekends as needed.
Pay:
$25.00
