About the Role As an Automotive Technical Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of skilled mechanics by delivering high-quality, hands-on instruction in a modern shop environment. You will leverage your deep industry expertise to mentor students, ensuring they gain the technical proficiency and professional standards required for a successful career in automotive service. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive, hands-on training covering engine performance, drivability, and advanced diagnostic troubleshooting. Facilitate structured curriculum delivery to ensure students master complex automotive repair and service systems. Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and professional accountability within the training facility. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to drive academic and technical growth. Prepare students for industry-standard certification exams, including ASE Automobile and Light Truck tests. Maintain and utilize industry-standard diagnostic equipment to provide real-world training scenarios. Required Skills 3+ years of professional experience as an Automotive Technician. Current or former ASE certifications, specifically G1 and A6. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex mechanical concepts. Proficiency with modern automotive technology and diagnostic software. Preferred Skills Prior experience in a teaching, training, or mentorship capacity. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom or shop environment effectively. Passion for developing talent and supporting student career outcomes.
