Job Description
Dear Future Automotive Service Coordinator, We've been waiting for you. If you're the kind of person who treats every phone call and every customer interaction like it's the most important one of the day, someone who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, welcome to your next chapter. At Mango Automotive, we don't just turn wrenches, we're rebuilding what it means to be in the auto repair industry. Our mission is clear, deliver exceptional service while creating a culture of respect, growth, and pride in our craft. We're not looking for just anyone to answer the phones, we're looking for the hub of our front office, the first voice on the phone, the first hands on incoming parts, and the backup our advisor team can count on when things get busy. Why This Role is Different As our Automotive Service Coordinator in Las Cruces, you'll be the connective tissue between the phone ringing, a part hitting the shelf, and a customer getting the outcome they were promised. You're not selling the diagnosis or building the repair plan, that's the advisor's job. Your job is making sure nobody, not the customer, not the advisor, not the shop floor, is ever left wondering what's happening next. Above everything else, this is a customer service and coordination role. If you're great with parts but cold on the phone, or or quick to put together a work order but forget to follow up with a customer, this isn't the right seat. What You'll Do Own the customer experience for anyone who walks in, calls, or is waiting on an update, with the right greeting, tone, and follow-through Keep customers informed at every handoff, from parts status to declined-service check-ins Coordinate between the shop floor, advisors, and the customer so nobody is left wondering what's happening with their car Field a high volume of incoming calls, appointment requests, status checks, and general questions Route or transfer calls to the right advisor when the conversation needs one Keep hold times low and callbacks logged so nothing gets dropped Receive incoming parts against purchase orders and match them to the correct repair order Process parts returns and core credits, tracking them through to completion Scan and file parts invoices, matched to the correct RO and vendor Call customers who declined recommended work to check back in, answer questions, and offer to get them back on the schedule Log outcomes so advisors and management can see recovery rates over time Write light work orders when an advisor needs backup during peak volume, as a backup function only. Priority when things get busy is phones first, parts and invoicing second, declined-service follow-up third, work order support last What You'll Get Competitive pay, $18 to $22 an hour, depending on experience No weekends. Ever. Full benefits, including company paid Short Term and Long Term Disability Health insurance (50% company paid) 401(k) with company match through Guideline Flexible Spending Account (FSA) available Paid time off The chance to learn the automotive side of the business from the ground up What You Need A genuine customer service mindset, this is the top requirement, everything else can be trained Strong phone presence, clear, patient, and comfortable handling a high call volume without getting rattled Detail oriented enough to reconcile parts invoices and catch a missing core credit or a mismatched PO Comfortable on a computer, shop management software, email, and basic filing systems Automotive knowledge preferred but not required, we'll train the terminology if the attention to detail and phone skills are there Reliable and consistent, this role touches money and customer trust every single day Automotive industry experience preferred, but not required, we'll train the terminology if the attention to detail and phone skills are there Our Culture is the Difference We believe laughter and teamwork make us better. We believe in honesty, equity, and doing right by our customers, and each other. We're a team that celebrates wins, learns from mistakes, and makes the workplace a place you're proud to show up to every morning. If this sounds like the kind of place you've been searching for, we'd love to talk. You can apply the old fashioned way with a resume, or just reach out and tell us why this sounds like home to you. Let's build something amazing together. With respect, Michelle Grumbles HR Specialist | Mango Automotive Mango Automotive is an equal opportunity employer.
