Whether working on GM vehicles or other makes, your technical proficiency will drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues across various vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle suspension systems, ensuring optimal operation. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical systems such as automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignments, wheel balancing, and suspension repairs to enhance safety and driving performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Diagnose complex issues related to vehicle transmission systems, electrical wiring, and vehicle systems with a focus on quality workmanship. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, estimating costs accurately, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs. Proficiency in reading schematics, automotive wiring diagrams, and understanding vehicle electrical systems. Experience working with ADAS technology and automotive diagnostic tools for precise troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle suspension system repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical system repairs. Strong understanding of VW vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with vehicle maintenance and general automotive repair is essential. Excellent customer service skills combined with technical proficiency to communicate effectively with clients. $19.00 - $35.00 per hour
