In this energetic role, you will expertly communicate vehicle issues, prepare accurate repair estimates, and ensure a seamless service experience. Your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills will drive customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical understanding with sales acumen in a fast-paced automotive environment. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service needs. Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software, including parts, labor, and additional services. Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs needed, and estimated timeframes. Upsell recommended services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, air brakes, and other maintenance or repair services. Coordinate with customers throughout the repair process to provide updates and clarify service options. Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and payment processing for services rendered. Promote additional services through proactive client communication to maximize dealership or shop revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in automotive service writing or auto service management within a dealership or independent shop setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, and various vehicle systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and tire services. Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Automotive repair experience including oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts, brake repairs, and other routine maintenance tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential for test drives or vehicle inspections. Basic cash handling skills combined with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
