Job Overview In this fast paced role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical skills and passion for automotive excellence will help keep every one of our cars on the road with confidence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering. Execute oil changes, tire services, and regular maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Repair and replace critical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other safety features. Utilize hand tools and power tools proficiently for repairs, welding tasks, and component replacements while adhering to safety standards. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Provide exceptional service by explaining repairs clearly, working with the parts department and ensuring vehicle maintenance meets manufacturer specifications. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Dealership experience is highly desirable, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Knowledge of engine repair and automotive electrical systems is necessary. Hands-on experience with auto body repair, welding, and auto estimating is beneficial. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to work efficiently with vehicle schematics and diagnostic software. Familiarity with maintenance procedures for transmissions, powertrain components, alignment systems, tire service equipment, shocks & struts.
