Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of engines, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and other heavy equipment components. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and electrical diagnostics to keep machinery operating at peak efficiency. Order and maintain parts and components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues across automotive diagnostics, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and other industrial equipment. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all repairs meet industry standards while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment operation. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to clients or team members. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in engine repair, vehicle maintenance, or industrial equipment servicing. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with power tools safely. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is a plus. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately for troubleshooting purposes. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to diagnose complex issues efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of heavy lifting when necessary. Requirements Not necessary, but welcomed: Valid certifications related to automotive diagnostics, air brake systems, hydraulics or suspension systems are advantageous.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
