Job Description
Job description Manhattan CJDR is currently seeking talented and experienced Automotive Technicians (A or B Level) to join our dealership located in Manhattan , NY . We are looking for individuals who can perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized areas of repair. Responsibilities:
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and perform repairs; communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Perform work as outlined on the repair order following dealership and factory standards. Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician; determines if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Save and tag parts related to repair if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events. Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and body shop area Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Supervises the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notify the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Operates all tools and equipment safely. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, use of tools/equipment, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc; report any safety issues to management Other tasks as assigned. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications Previous Technician Training State Vehicle Inspector Certification (PREFERRED)Valid Driver's License Required Benefits:
