Part-Time Trailer Mechanic - 53' Dry Vans Here at Pacron, we're a leading manufacturer of protective packaging products, seeking a Part-Time Trailer Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of 53-foot dry van trailers. Schedule 15-20 hours per week Flexible afternoon hours Responsibilities Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on 53' dry van trailers Repair and replace brakes, lights, wiring, air lines, landing gear, doors, and suspension components Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer mechanical issues Perform minor welding and light fabrication repairs as needed Conduct DOT-related trailer repairs and ensure equipment remains roadworthy Maintain maintenance records and communicate repair needs with our Shipping dept. Qualifications Experience repairing and maintaining semi-trailers, dry vans, or commercial transportation equipment Ability to perform minor welding and light fabrication work Knowledge of DOT trailer requirements and inspections preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Own basic hand tools preferred
