Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Mechanic for a leading food and beverage manufacturing client. This individual will support a pilot plant/R D environment by troubleshooting and maintaining process equipment, pumps, motors, conveyors, and packaging systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting production and innovation initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced processing equipment, collaborate cross-functionally with operations and engineering teams, and make a direct impact on plant reliability and continuous improvement efforts. Strong candidates may have the opportunity for long-term growth and full-time conversion based on performance Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, conveyors, and process equipment Support maintenance and operational needs of the pilot plant Act as a liaison between operators and equipment manufacturers/OEMs Participate in daily safety, workflow, and operational meetings Assist with equipment changeovers and packaging line modifications Ensure food quality and safety standards are maintained Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement efforts Maintain safe operations while following established safety protocols Help develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Ability to troubleshoot motor failures and replace pump seals Safety-oriented mindset with strong commitment to workplace safety Experience with process equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment OSHA/basic EHS awareness and safety compliance experience Automotive/car mechanic background Experience in a beverage, food manufacturing, or consumer products environment Experience with packaging equipment Experience with CMMS systems R D or pilot plant experience Experience developing or following SOPs Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
