The Transportation Fleet Manager will support the company in creating and maintaining a culture that truly puts safety first. This includes direct engagement with our fleet of cargo vans, box trucks and tractors and company drivers assuring compliance with all FMCSA and State DOT regulations, monitoring changes in applicable law and regulations, and developing and implementing procedures and practices that effectively manage risk.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for all preventative maintenance
- Overseeing wear and tear on vehicles - tires
- Working with station leadership that all vehicles are operating safely
- Working with vendors to maximize relationship on
- Experience in dealing with Accidents and Insurance Claims.
- Flexibility to work as needed to answer accident calls
- Ability to move remote/travel to locations
- Oversee 100+ Vehicles (Cargo van thru Class A)
- Minimizes the safety risks through monitoring and acting on all insurance claims & loss reports, corrective actions, recommendations/deficiencies, and resolution reports.
- Trucking industry safety experience required
- Assist with monitoring FMCSA scores, and develop and implement proactive programs of action to continually improve performance and address deficiencies
- Maintain and track Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Ensure DOT specific safety policies and procedures are managed.
- Recording of all vehicular employee accidents/incidents for determination of cause and preventability
- Strong analytical, leadership, teamwork and customer service skills as demonstrated by previous work experience
- Excellent verbal skills, written communication and presentation skill Willing to work 2nd shift
