SERVICE ADVISOR
•AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRBilingual English/Spanish Preferred Budget Auto Fix•Columbus, OH Are you great with people, organized, motivated, and comfortable selling automotive repairs? Budget Auto Fix is looking for a professional and motivated Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing team. We need someone who can confidently communicate with customers, work closely with technicians, build estimates, sell recommended repairs, and keep the shop running efficiently throughout the day. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS POSITION
We're looking for someone who is: Professional, friendly, and confident with customers Strong at communicating and building customer trust Comfortable presenting and selling automotive repairs Organized and able to handle multiple customers and vehicles Able to communicate effectively with automotive technicians Dependable, punctual, and motivated Comfortable using computers and shop-management software Able to follow up with customers without being reminded Focused on customer satisfaction and shop performance Interested in growing into a leadership/management position Automotive service advisor experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong sales, customer service, and automotive experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for helping manage the customer experience from vehicle drop-off through final pickup.
Daily responsibilities include:
Greet customers and properly document their concerns Communicate customer concerns clearly to technicians Create professional estimates and repair orders Review technician inspection and diagnostic results Verify labor times and repair information with technicians Present recommended repairs to customers Explain repairs in a way customers can easily understand Sell needed maintenance and repair services Follow up on declined estimates and pending approvals Provide customers with accurate repair-status updates Order parts and verify pricing and availability Follow up with vendors regarding parts and ETAs Coordinate workflow with technicians Help schedule jobs efficiently throughout the day Review Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) Collect payments and properly close repair orders Handle customer questions and concerns professionally Maintain accurate notes and documentation Help maintain a clean, organized, professional front office
SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE
This is not just a receptionist position. The Service Advisor plays an important role in the success of our shop. You must be comfortable discussing money, explaining the value of repairs, overcoming customer objections, following up on estimates, and asking customers for approval. We believe great sales come from education, honesty, communication, and building trust —not pressuring customers into repairs they don't need.
