The Used Car Technician position at Jeff Wyler Fairfield Auto Mall focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, reconditioning, and repairing pre-owned vehicles so they meet dealership quality and safety standards before resale. Key Responsibilities Inspect used vehicles for mechanical and safety concerns. Diagnose problems using diagnostic equipment and road tests. Repair or replace worn components such as brakes, belts, filters, and fluids. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Complete vehicle reconditioning to prepare inventory for sale. Document inspections and repairs for warranty and compliance purposes. Work with the sales department to ensure vehicles are retail-ready. INDSJTA Qualifications Automotive repair experience or formal mechanic training preferred. ASE certifications are a plus but not required. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and perform troubleshooting. Understanding of automotive systems, including air conditioning. Ability to maintain accurate records and work in a fast-paced environment. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical shop duties. Jeff Wyler is committed to hiring a diverse and qualified workforce.
