Lewisburg, OH | Full-Time | 3:00pm - 11:30pm Competitive Pay Based on Experience | Monthly Tool Allowance | OEM Training | $300/Month Healthcare Opt-Out Are you a skilled trailer mechanic looking for a steady 3rd-shift position with a company that values your experience? Cheeseman Transport is looking for a Trailer Mechanic to join our Lewisburg team. We're looking for someone who knows heavy-duty trailers, takes pride in quality work, and can diagnose and repair equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with brakes, electrical systems, welding, and metal fabrication is important. Truck and diesel engine experience is a plus. At Cheeseman, our technicians aren't just here to turn wrenches. Shift:
3:00pm - 11:30pm Your Pay Starting at $25.00 - $34.00 an hour based on experience We recognize that experienced technicians bring valuable skills to the shop, and we believe your pay should reflect that experience. What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trailers Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems Repair and maintain trailer braking systems and components Troubleshoot trailer electrical systems Perform welding and metal fabrication as needed Perform DOT inspections Complete repairs and maintenance according to company standards and applicable regulations Accurately document work performed and parts used Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work alongside other technicians to diagnose and repair equipment Help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the road What We're Looking For Previous experience repairing heavy-duty trailers preferred Experience with trailer brakes and electrical systems Welding and metal fabrication experience Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine the appropriate repair Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Truck and diesel engine experience is a plus Willingness to learn and participate in OEM training What You Get at Cheeseman We invest in our technicians because good equipment starts with good people.
