Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections & repairs on Semi trailer bodies Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist with assembly and disassembly of trailer components during major repairs or upgrades. Support customer service efforts by communicating repair status clearly and providing recommendations for ongoing maintenance needs. Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations including air brake testing, electrical wiring standards, and proper lifting techniques. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a focus on trailer repair Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including soldering), and fabrication techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical manuals and safety procedures meticulously. Effective communication skills for working within a team environment and supporting customer service initiatives.
