  • Full-time We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer to join our maintenance team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the repair and maintenance of trailers, including both preventive maintenance and complex repairs. As a Trailer Technician, you will ensure that trailers are in safe, working condition for daily operations and help minimize downtime through efficient troubleshooting and repairs.
  • This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity that is a 10 hour shift/Monday to Thursday from 1:00pm to 11:00pm
BST Trailer Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of trailers, including flatbeds, refrigerated units, dry vans, and tankers. Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues related to trailer systems. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, ensuring trailers are compliant with safety regulations. Repair and replace defective parts including brakes, axles, suspension systems, lights, tires, and air systems. Welding and fabrication as needed to repair or modify trailer components. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and hours worked. Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Work closely with the maintenance team and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency and minimize trailer downtime. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving emergency breakdowns as required. Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Provide feedback on equipment condition and potential issues to prevent future breakdowns.
BST Trailer Technician Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in trailer maintenance or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge of trailer systems (brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulics, etc.). Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with trailers. Experience with welding and fabricating trailer components (preferred). Solid understanding of safety regulations related to trailer operation and maintenance. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts, as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance schedules and checklists. ASE Certification or equivalent training/certifications (preferred but not required).
