Smilek's Car Care - We're a small, family-owned auto repair shop proudly located in Norton, Ohio. Our team is dedicated to delivering honest, high-quality repairs with personalized service that keeps our customers coming back.
Shop hours:
M-F 9-4, no weekends. 30 hours guaranteed - more dependent on need.
Job Summary:
Looking for a small shop where your skills are appreciated and your schedule is respected? We'd love to meet you. Whether you're an entry level, experienced technician, or an ASE-certified mechanic, we're looking for someone who takes pride in quality work and enjoys being part of a small, supportive team.
Duties:
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, brake repairs, and other preventive maintenance services. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using provided modern diagnostic equipment. Complete vehicle inspections and road test vehicles when needed to verify repairs. Accurately document repairs, services performed, and parts used. Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe. Shop upkeep during downtime. Communicate with the team about vehicle concerns, repair recommendations, and completed work.
What We're Looking For:
Some previous experience as an Automotive Technician, Auto Mechanic, Lube Technician, or General Service Technician required. ASE Certification or skilled trades/automotive education is a plus—but not required. Comfortable using automotive tools and diagnostic equipment, or eager to learn. Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical issues confidently is a plus! Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Able to lift automotive parts and equipment and work in an active shop environment. Dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated to do quality work.
