Job Description
Major League Tire Service Technician Job Description Duties are as follows but not limited to:
- Performs brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance and all manner of automotive repairs and maintenance that you are qualified to perform
- Secure front counter's approval to perform the work as a result of the diagnosis; and always maintain a clean, neat work area
- Complete through automotive vehicle inspection on every vehicle you service and perform any repairs and maintenance
- Test drive guest veheicles and use our shop truck in a safe manner
- Collaborate with teammates and provide leadership to General Service Technicians
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
- Sells lubrication, safety inspection and other related services
- Drains oil from crankcase and refills with required amount of oil
- Replaces oil and air filters
- Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces as necessary
- Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed
- Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants
- Communicates with counter to obtain needed parts
- Reports machinery defects or malfunction to management
- Documents all work performed on the repair order
- Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies management immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
- Keeps shop neat and clean
- Maintains and is accountable for all shop-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Reports any safety issues immediately to management
