Job Description
We are looking for an experienced semi-trailer mechanic/technician with a Class A CDL to join our Service Division! Transport Services is a family owned full-service semi-trailer dealership in North Royalton that has been in business 50 years! This is a full time job with benefits at a company that has an outstanding culture! This is a full-time, first shift, hourly/non-exempt position. Technicians have the option to work four 10-hour days (7:00am - 5:30pm) or five 8-hour days (7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm). We offer a competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus uncapped efficiency bonus potential.

Transport Services is seeking an experienced professional to add to our already outstanding group of mechanical technicians. The position is a Semi Trailer Mechanic\Technician for our Service Division in Cleveland, Ohio.A SUCCESSFUL SEMI-TRAILER MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
Performing preventative maintenance and various repairs on semi trailers and/or diesel trucks in line with company and DOT standards. The Class A CDL is required for local cartage runs dropping off or picking up semi-trailers/equipment as needed.REQUIREMENTS OF A SEMI-TRAILER MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN
This is a first shift, hourly/non-exempt positionRequirements & Considerations:
- 1+ years of applicable trailer mechanics or diesel mechanics experience
- Demonstrate diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
- Must provide own tools
- Self-motivated
- Hard-working
- Reliable
- Works well with others.
- Must be able to read and write
- Occasionally move parts and/or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to use power tools
- May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday Preferred, but not required:
- Welding/fabrication experience
- Commercial Driver's License
- ASE certifications
- Diesel/Truck repair experience
- Electrical/Refrigeration experience
THE LOCATION
The Cleveland Branch of Transport Services is our original branch and corporate headquarters located in North Royalton, OH. Cleveland's Service Division includes an 18-bay service shop that services commercial fleet semi trailers and diesel trucks. We specialize in everything from regular maintenance to custom fabrication to major collision repairs. The Service Division works in tandem with our on-site Rental, Sales, and Parts Divisions.TRANSPORT SERVICES OFFERS THE SEMI-TRAILER MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN
