Job Description

Vizmeg Landscape, Inc is seeking a full-time experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Stow, OH . The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various types of machinery used in our landscape and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems, with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, bulldozers, and loaders, to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using specialized tools and equipment Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems as needed Use computerized diagnostic tools to identify and address equipment issues Maintain an inventory of parts and tools required for repairs and maintenance Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed Complete work orders and submit detailed reports to the Maintenance Manager Communicate effectively with equipment operators and other team members regarding equipment conditions and repairs Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or similar role High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in heavy equipment mechanics preferred Valid driver's license Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical systems Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
