Job Description
•Position is located in Toronto, Canada•Business System Analyst - Connected Car ServicesPosition OverviewAs an Intermediate Business System Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, working closely with business units to understand functional needs, and collaborating with technical teams to conduct impact assessments. You will also play a key role in sprint and release management to ensure the successful deployment of new features and enhancements. We are seeking for individuals who have worked on mobile applications or in-house developed applications ideally in the connected car industry, but connected car experience is not required.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed functional requirements for connected car services.
Collaborate with technical teams to perform impact assessments and feasibility analysis for new requirements.
Act as a liaison between business units and development teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Manage and track requirements throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Assist in sprint planning, release management, and ensuring proper prioritization of business needs.
Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain product backlogs.
Support the testing and validation of new features to ensure they meet business and technical requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis for reported issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Work with Agile teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to knowledge base articles and business process documentation.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).3+ years of experience as a Business System Analyst working with North American business clients on customer facing applications, preferably in the connected car industry.
Experience in requirements documentation authoring and documentation management.
Strong experience in business requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation.
Experience working with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and release management.
Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, software engineering, and QA.Intermediate knowledge of API integrations and data flow processes.
It is a plus if you have:
Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Telematics or automotive or IoT industry.
