Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on various vehicle types, including GM vehicles. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and customer service skills are highly valued. The successful applicant will perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Must be willing to work first shift to be considered. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, and brake repairs. Repair and maintain powertrain components including transmissions, engines (diesel and gasoline), and electrical systems. Conduct ADAS calibrations, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and suspension work. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools efficiently and safely. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and vehicle wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical systems. Perform auto body repairs as needed and assist with vehicle maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs performed for auto estimating purposes. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience in automotive repair shops. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools and software. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Experience with GM vehicles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures, wheel alignment techniques, suspension systems, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, brake repair, oil changes, and auto body repair. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills for effective communication with clients. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
