Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Truck / Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Duke, OK. This vital role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi tractors and dump trailers. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for mechanical excellence, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations and customer satisfaction. We will train and educate as needed Duties Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, alignment checks, HVAC servicing, and electrical troubleshooting to maximize equipment lifespan and performance. Fabrication on trailers as needed using power tools and welding techniques to ensure proper fit and function of equipment. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication regarding repair status and recommended maintenance solutions. Qualifications Proven experience as a Tractor / Trailer Mechanic or in a similar heavy equipment repair role; dealership experience is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in tractor and trailer repair, electrical systems, and overall vehicle maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safely. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues machinery or industrial equipment. Knowledge of semi-trailer diagnostics including air brake systems and suspension alignment is beneficial. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward preventive maintenance. Must have own tools & some formal training Minimum of 3-year experience preferred Class A CDL preferred
