Join us in Clackamas, OR—right off I-205 and a quick drive from Sandy, Estacada, Clackamas, or Milwaukie.
Why this role Competitive pay:
Starting pay is $23.44/hour for first 90 days. Then, $24.01/hour.
Shift premiums:
Swing shift: Monday to Friday 3PM-11:30PM with a $1.25/hour premium.
Graveyard shift:
Monday to Friday 11PM-7:30AM with a $2.00/hour premium. Stability & perks: 40 hour work week plus medical, dental, vision, short term disability, 401k, monthly gym reimbursement, and more. What you'll tackle Operate high-pressure aluminum die cast machines to produce quality parts. Use a crane to lift specified die sections; bolt dies in position and adjust the ram stroke. Perform equipment safety checks and correct hazards before and during production. Connect water hoses to die cooling circuits and preheat die sections with an electric heater. Turn valves and set dials to control water flow and machine speed based on part size/structure and metal type/temperature. Set and fine-tune air and spray devices to blow metal fragments from die surfaces and apply lubricant into the die cavity and onto the plunger. Set and adjust automatic equipment to ladle molten metal into the machine chamber. Assure the holding furnace maintains correct metal level and temperature throughout the shift. Be fully conversant with process parameters, measure them routinely, and make necessary machine adjustments to maintain a consistent, compliant process.
