Job Summary:
Join the City of Medford's Fleet Maintenance team as a Fleet Services Mechanic and put your skills to work supporting the vehicles and equipment that keep our community moving. In this role, you'll work on a wide variety of fleet vehicles, from light-duty trucks to heavy equipment, using modern tools to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic systems. This is a great opportunity for a skilled mechanic who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality work, and understands the importance of keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for service. Required Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
  • Three (3) or more years of experience as a mechanic in the repair and maintenance of automobiles, light and heavy trucks, and light and heavy equipment; and
  • Possession of the following licenses within six (6) months of hire: Air Conditioning Recovery License.
Class A Oregon Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with air brake endorsement
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of certification through one or all the following:
  • ASE in automotive or Heavy truck
  • EVT certification in Police, Fire Apparatus, or Ambulance
  • ODE•Fabrication experience•Vehicle upfitting experience
Available Schedules:
Standard schedule: Monday
  • Friday, 8 hours per day Alternative schedule may be available: Monday
  • Thursday, 4/10 schedule, based on operational needs

$66,924.70 to $85,414.76 per Year Depending on Experience, Depending on Qualifications
