Job Description

JOB Do you have automotive service experience and take pride in doing careful, quality work? This part-time, year-round opportunity is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active, and helping keep vehicles and equipment running safely and reliably. As a Fleet Service Laborer, you'll support routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire service, vehicle cleaning, and other shop support tasks. If you are dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to be part of a team that helps support City operations and community services, we encourage you to apply!
Required Education and Experience :
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and Two (2) years of experience in servicing automotive equipment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and/or Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certifications.
Available Schedule:
Four 6-hour days per week
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The anticipated hiring range for the Fleet Service Laborer position is $19.92 (first step) to $20.91 or $21.96 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
