Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic and become a vital part of delivering top-tier vehicle maintenance and repair services. In this role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, from passenger cars to industrial equipment, in a fast-paced environment that values precision, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Duties Our shop works on most all makes and most all models, of cars and light trucks up thru 1 ton. Inspecting, Diagnosing, advising on best repairs needed, and then performing necessary repairs will be required. Conduct repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, and hydraulic systems to ensure vehicles operate smoothly and safely. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques for assembly, repairs, and modifications. Conduct vehicle inspections including alignment checks and air brake system testing; perform tire service and wheel balancing as needed. Maintain detailed service records; interpret schematics for complex repairs; perform heavy lifting safely during equipment repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes. Proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues across various machinery types. Hands-on experience with all makes and models, domestic, european and asian. Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, HVAC, brakes, chassis, body mechanics will be needed. Ability to perform diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools; skilled in brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement. Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent hand tool skills; capable of performing assembly and equipment repair efficiently. Strong customer service skills; able to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical ability for heavy lifting; experience working with power tools; safety-conscious approach when handling heavy machinery or performing welding tasks. $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
