Job Description

LEAD AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN
Absolute Air & Auto Repair - Springfield, OR 70, 000-90,000+ / year - Not Flat Rate There comes a point in your career where you stop looking for just another job. You want a shop that invests in its people, buys the right equipment, takes pride in quality work, and actually has a vision for where it's going. That's exactly what we're building at Absolute Air & Auto Repair. We've been serving Springfield since 1999, but the last few years have been some of the biggest in our history. We recently purchased another repair shop, expanded to two buildings on three acres, and now operate with 19 bays and 13 lifts. We're continuing to grow because we believe in investing in the business, our customers, and our team. We're looking for an experienced technician who enjoys difficult diagnostics, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be part of something that's still growing. This Is More Than Parts Swapping We specialize in solving the repairs that other shops struggle with. You'll work on everything from drivability concerns and electrical issues to A/C systems, diagnostics, fleet vehicles, and just about everything in between. When someone gets stuck on a difficult diagnosis, we don't point fingers. We grab another set of eyes and solve it together. Nobody here knows everything, and that's exactly how we like it. We Believe Great Shops Are Built Differently Attitude is important here, a few years ago, we let our highest-producing technician leave because his attitude was hurting the rest of the team. It wasn't an easy decision. It cost us production. We'd make the same decision again tomorrow. Production matters. People matter more. If you're looking for a shop full of egos, this isn't it. If you're looking for a team that enjoys helping each other become better technicians, you'll fit right in. You'll Have the Equipment to Do the Job Right We're constantly reinvesting in the shop. That means access to equipment like: Hunter Hawkeye Elite Alignment System Road Force Wheel Balancer PicoScope Factory software for multiple manufacturers Multiple professional scan tools Smoke machines Modern tire equipment And we're not stopping there. Our plans include expanding our fleet department, adding in-house ADAS calibrations, additional alignment capabilities, and continuing to stay ahead of new technology. We Don't Micromanage If you show up ready to work, stay productive, and take pride in your repairs, we'll give you the freedom to do your job. Need help with something? Ask. Have a better idea? Speak up. Recently we asked the technicians what outdated equipment and clutter they wanted gone. We listened, cleaned it out, and made the shop better. Good ideas don't get ignored here. Training Isn't Just a Buzzword We close the shop and attend industry training together. We pay for local training. We provide AVI online training. We reimburse approved certifications. We expect everyone to keep learning because this industry never stops changing. Compensation & Benefits $70,000-$90,000+ annually Hourly pay plus production bonuses. No flat-rate pressure.

We're Looking For Someone Who Loves solving problems Can confidently diagnose today's vehicles Takes pride in fixing it right the first time Helps teammates instead of competing with them Wants to continue learning Takes ownership without needing constant supervision If you're ready to join a shop that's investing in its future just as much as it's investing in its people, we'd love to meet you.
