Job Description
Our Trailer Mechanic position could be just the spot to start your career with XTRA Lease. If you have at least one year of experience working on trailers and brakes, possess a valid and current driver's license, and own your own tools, this job could be a good fit for you.
As a Trailer Mechanic, your typical day would include:
Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all XTRA Lease equipment as indicated on repair orders and consistent with XTRA Lease repair standards.
Performing safety and legally required inspections (FHWA/BIT).Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)Minimum of 1 year of experience working specifically on trailersMinimum of 1 year of experience working on brakesMust be qualified to complete FHWA inspectionsMust have a valid and current driver's licenseAs a Trailer Mechanic, youll need one year of trailer repair experience to complete FHWA inspections consistent with the Department of Transportation requirements.
