Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic and Certified Safety Inspector, where your expertise will drive vehicle safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. In this energetic role, you will perform comprehensive repairs, diagnostics, and inspections on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards and operate at peak efficiency. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections and certify vehicles as safe for operation, adhering to all safety regulations and standards. Perform diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain a wide range of vehicle systems including engines (diesel and gasoline), powertrain components, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Diagnose complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), vehicle alignment, and auto body damage; implement effective solutions. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues precisely. Ensure all work complies with safety standards as a Certified Safety Inspector while maintaining detailed service records. Assist customers with vehicle maintenance advice and explain repair procedures clearly to foster trust and satisfaction. Experience Proven mechanic experience with dealership backgrounds preferred; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair. Hands-on experience working with ADAS technology, vehicle alignment equipment, welding tools, and maintenance procedures. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Demonstrated ability to perform automotive service efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
