Job Description
Rick's Used Auto Parts is seeking to add a permanent dismantler position to our Team. The auto dismantler plays a critical role in ensuring a positive customer experience. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a quality part as described. The dismantler is responsible for properly removing all high-quality auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who must work in a fast-paced environment, hardworking, dedicated automobile dismantler who can successfully meet production quota. Excelling at this position you must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, have hands-on automotive repair experience with a knowledge of automobiles. This person needs to be very goal orientated and willing to work at a very fast pace while maintaining the quality and accuracy set forth in the job expectations. This is an indoor and outdoor job so you must be able to work in all weather conditions year round. Knowledge of car parts is a must and you must have your own set of basic hand tools. Wage is based on speed, the more you get done the more you get paid. Ideally be able to process 2 cars or 1 full-size/4wd vehicle per day for top pay. Position Responsibilities:
Dismantle vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner. Label, tag and picture parts to be placed into stock. Check the quality and product type of the parts. Must own and maintain all the tools necessary. Cutting vehicles with saws and torches Testing mechanical components Multi-task and do other other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications Experience:
Must have hands-on automotive repair experience.Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have a basic understanding of the function of each part of a vehicle. Must use hand tools, air tools, and torches. Forklift experience a bonus.Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently. Subject to intense physical labor and repetitive lifting. Must be able to lift at least 75lbs. Must be able to work outside in various types of weather. Works with hydraulic oils, motor oils, antifreeze, gasoline, diesel fuels and other automotive fluids.
