) Scenic Ridge Company is currently seeking a Fleet Services Generalist to support the safe and efficient operation of our fleet shop. This entry-level position helps keep vehicles, equipment, tools, parts, and work areas clean, organized, and ready for use. The Generalist works under the direction of the Fleet Services Foreman and assists technicians with basic maintenance, vehicle movement, parts handling, documentation, and general shop support.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist fleet technicians with routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs under appropriate supervision. Perform basic maintenance within demonstrated ability, including checking fluids, tire pressure, batteries, lights, and other components. Prepare, clean, and detail vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials for scheduled service or repair. Transport vehicles, equipment, parts, and supplies between company locations and service providers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, parts-storage area, yard, and surrounding workspaces. Receive, inspect, label, store, and help track incoming parts, tools, supplies, and inventory. Document inspections, maintenance activity, vehicle mileage, parts usage, completed work, work orders, and timecards. Promptly report damage, mechanical concerns, safety issues, or service needs to the Fleet Services Foreman. Follow company safety and environmental procedures, traffic laws, shop practices, and PPE requirements.
Recommended Experience & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Current driver's license; a current medical card is required when driving a company vehicle. Ability to learn company computer programs and accurately complete required documentation. Dependable communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and a willingness to continue learning. Ability to safely lift or carry up to 50 pounds and perform active shop and field work. Own and maintain a basic set of hand and power tools appropriate for assigned repair and support duties. The successful applicant will work in shop and field environments and must remain alert, safety-minded, and professional while supporting employees across all Scenic Ridge divisions.
