Description Fleet & Facilities Services Specialist Department:

Fleet Manager Job Summary:
The Fleet and facilities Services Specialist employee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and readiness of company vehicles while also performing general cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of company facilities, grounds, parking areas, and vehicle staging areas. This position supports fleet and facility operations through vehicle detailing, routine property maintenance, grounds upkeep, and general operational support. The employee is expected to maintain company vehicles and property in a clean, safe, organized, and presentable condition and to identify and report issues requiring additional service or specialized repair. This position performs manual labor and operational support functions and does not exercise managerial authority. The role is classified as an hourly, non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Cleaning & Detailing Clean interior and exterior of vehicles in accordance with company standards
Wash, dry, and buff vehicle exteriors
Vacuum interiors and remove debris and dirt
Clean and condition upholstery, carpets, and floor mats
Polish wheels and clean windows and mirrors
Apply cleaning, protective, and restorative products to maintain vehicle appearance Inspection & Quality Control Perform detail inspections to ensure vehicles meet cleanliness and presentation standards
Identify and report vehicle damage, cleanliness issues, or mechanical concerns
Ensure vehicles are properly stocked with required items, including glassware and supplies Fleet Support Move, park, and stage vehicles for service readiness
Assist with transporting vehicles to and from maintenance providers or service locations
Support overall fleet readiness by coordinating with operations and maintenance teams
Report issues that may affect vehicle readiness or presentation to the Fleet Manager or appropriate member of the operations team Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Perform general cleaning and upkeep of company buildings and work areas
Remove trash and recycling and maintain appropriate disposal areas
Maintain grounds, including litter removal and general property appearance
Perform snow and ice removal and apply salt or other treatments as needed
Perform basic building maintenance and minor repairs within the scope of the position
Replace light bulbs and other routine consumable items as needed
Perform basic painting and touch-up work
Maintain outdoor areas, parking areas, and vehicle staging areas
Identify and report facility, equipment, or property issues requiring outside or specialized repair
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition Inventory & Equipment Management Monitor detailing, cleaning, and maintenance supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
Reorder supplies as needed in accordance with company procedures
Operate cleaning, maintenance, and other equipment safely and effectively
Maintain tools and equipment in a good working order and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment Additional Responsibilities Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow applicable safety procedures when performing cleaning, detailing, grounds, or maintenance tasks
Perform other work-related duties as assigned based on business needs
Required Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to operate company vehicles safely.
Ability to safely operate cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to perform physical labor and routine maintenance tasks.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to identify and report maintenance, property, vehicle, or equipment issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior auto detailing or vehicle cleaning experience.
Experience in transportation, automotive, facilities maintenance, groundskeeping, or service-related industries.
Experience performing basic building or property maintenance.
Experience safely using common hand or power tools.
Work Environment & Personal Demands:
Work is performed primarily on-site and may include indoor and outdoor work.
Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and ice.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods of time.
Ability to safely use cleaning equipment, maintenance tools, and other equipment required for the position.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to perform snow and ice removal and other physically demanding grounds maintenance tasks as needed.
May be exposed to cleaning products, vehicle-care products, and other materials commonly used in detailing and general maintenance. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Work Schedule & Location:
Hourly, non-exempt position
Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available
Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
Availability to work Saturdays may be required
Primarily on-site position
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly pay: $16-20 in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws
Overtime eligibility in accordance with federal and state law
Benefits eligibility based on employment status
