Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Transmission R&R Tech/General Repair Tech to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems, with a focus on transmission removal and reinstallation, as well as general mechanical repairs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse vehicle types, including diesel engines and modern automotive electrical systems, in a fast-paced environment that values technical expertise and customer satisfaction. Your hands-on skills will directly contribute to delivering reliable, high-quality repairs that keep our customers safely on the road. Responsibilities Perform transmission removal, installation, and reassembly with precision, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues across various vehicle systems Repair and maintain engines, powertrain components, and electrical systems on a variety of vehicles including passenger cars and diesel engines Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues accurately Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignments, wheel balancing, and heavy lifting operations using appropriate manual handling techniques Ensure all repairs meet quality standards while providing excellent customer service by explaining findings and repair options clearly Skills Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong mechanical background Knowledge of automotive engine systems, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine technology Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and diagnostics Ability to read and interpret automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Skilled in the use of automotive diagnostic tools and understanding of vehicle systems such as electrical wiring, powertrain, and body components Experience with auto body repair techniques including welding and alignment procedures Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to explain technical issues to clients effectively Join us in delivering top-tier automotive repairs by applying your expertise in a collaborative environment that values innovation, safety, and excellence. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
