Qualifications:

Basic computer skills Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift heavy objects as needed Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ambitious, hard working presence in a team environment Customer service oriented Positive and friendly attitude Must possess the skills to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions and processes

Responsibilities:

This Technician is responsible for performing transmission repairs and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards Expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able and willing to work on all other work assigned to him/her Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repairs as needed Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so the customers are well-informed of status of repair, change of promise times, and any additional services needed Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
