Job Description

MULTI-SITE CAR WASH MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Cloud10 Smartwash is seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Maintenance Technician to support our growing group of express car wash locations. This is a hands-on, multi-site position responsible for keeping our wash tunnels, support equipment, and facilities operating safely and reliably. The right person is an experienced troubleshooter who can identify the actual cause of equipment failures, complete repairs correctly, and help prevent future breakdowns. This is not a basic building-maintenance or cleaning position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and automated equipment. PAY $20-30 an hour , based on applicable experience and technical ability.

Primarily daytime hours, with occasional early-morning, evening, weekend, or emergency response when a site is down
Travel:
Regular travel between assigned Cloud10 Smartwash locations
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems affecting car wash operations Maintain and repair conveyor systems, motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, rollers, belts, couplings, and related tunnel equipment Troubleshoot sensors, relays, contactors, motor starters, variable-frequency drives, control panels, low-voltage wiring, and other electrical components Repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including air lines, cylinders, valves, actuators, regulators, hoses, and fittings Maintain air compressors, vacuum systems, chemical-delivery systems, high-pressure pumps, water lines, reclaim equipment, and associated plumbing Respond promptly to equipment failures and work to return locations to operation safely and efficiently Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and detailed site inspections Identify worn or failing parts before they result in extended downtime Maintain an organized inventory of replacement parts, tools, and critical components Document completed repairs, parts used, equipment conditions, and recommended follow-up work Communicate clearly with site managers and the operations leadership team regarding equipment status and repair timelines Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized service is required Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and improvement projects Train site managers on proper daily inspections, basic troubleshooting, and equipment care Keep mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, tools, and replacement parts clean and organized Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all company safety requirements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
At least two years of experience in car wash maintenance, industrial maintenance, field service, manufacturing maintenance, automotive equipment repair, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related skilled trade Strong mechanical aptitude and a proven ability to troubleshoot equipment systematically Working knowledge of motors, pumps, conveyors, bearings, pneumatic systems, plumbing, and electrical controls Ability to use a multimeter and common diagnostic equipment safely Ability to read wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, schematics, and parts diagrams Ability to work independently, prioritize urgent repairs, and follow a preventive-maintenance schedule Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Reliable availability for occasional emergency calls when critical equipment is down Ability to work safely around moving machinery, water, chemicals, electricity, confined work areas, and changing weather conditions Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and regularly bend, climb, kneel, reach, and work from a ladder
CAR WASH EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED
We will consider experienced technicians from industrial maintenance, manufacturing, conveyor systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, automotive repair, building systems, or field-service backgrounds. Candidates must be willing to learn car wash equipment and travel between locations.

Equipment problems are diagnosed accurately instead of repeatedly patched Emergency downtime is reduced Preventive maintenance is completed on schedule Site managers receive clear updates and realistic repair timelines Repair history and parts usage are properly documented Equipment, tools, and mechanical rooms remain safe and organized Recurring problems are identified and corrected at their source
