Rideshare Mechanic LLC, founded in 2017, is actively hiring an ASE certified Remote Vehicle Inspector to enhance the onboarding experience for rideshare drivers through convenient vehicle inspections conducted over live video chat on Zoom. This is a rideshare specific 19-point inspection and is not a North Carolina annual state inspection. Training will be provided. Responsibilities include beginning inspections on time and completing them in a timely manner, conducting vehicle inspections over Zoom video chat, confirming driver need for inspection and providing an overview of the process, inspecting all required points of the 19 point vehicle inspection, collecting VIN license plate registration expiration and odometer reading, communicating effectively with drivers regarding inspection completion and any issues, updating internal systems based on inspection outcome, and communicating with coordinators if issues arise. This is a remote position for candidates who live in North Carolina. Flexible hours are available for full-time part time or contract work with a minimum availability of 20 hours per week. The company is associated with the Wilmington North Carolina area while serving drivers across the state. Candidates must have active ASE certification with proof required, a business license or association with an existing shop, must live in North Carolina, own a computer smartphone and reliable internet and cell service, and demonstrate strong customer service skills the ability to multitask with technology and attention to detail.
