This Mechanic will assemble and repair prototype transmissions, electrified power units, axles, and batteries. Support our full-service garage completing powertrain and drivetrain removal and replacement, general repairs, and minor fabrication. What you'll do... Assemble, disassemble, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production and prototype powertrains (transmissions, axles, electrified powertrains and batteries), and vehicles; following the build book, illustrations, sketches, prints, check sheets, and repair manuals. Perform both garage and bench work, including, but not limited to transmission/axle removal and reinstallation, transmission/electrified powertrain teardown and rebuild Will work various shifts, including weekends when requested You'll have... High school diploma or GED 5+ years of experience with electrical, air conditioning, fuel emissions, brakes, steering, hydraulics and clutches. 1+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment operations Valid driver's license Even better, you may have... Associate's degree Strong mechanical aptitude Certified mechanic in the state of Michigan. Ability to utilize or learn the Ford WORQ system and Microsoft Outlook and Excel Ability to communicate optimally and professionally 5+ years with experience with computers for data entry/vehicle diagnostics.
