Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flat Rate Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of vehicle repairs and maintenance services efficiently and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, familiarity with automotive diagnostics, and experience working with various vehicle systems. This position offers an energetic environment where your expertise directly contributes to keeping vehicles running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals. Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements. Conduct complex repairs on powertrain components, diesel engines, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines to complete repairs accurately. Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while maintaining high quality workmanship. Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle in compliance with dealership or shop procedures. Skills Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a focus on flat rate billing practices. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred. Skilled in using diagnostic equipment for automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting. Proficiency with schematics interpretation, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, and diesel engine repair. Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery effectively. Excellent customer service skills to communicate repair needs clearly and professionally.
