Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Evening Auto Mechanic to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles during evening hours, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep vehicles running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the reputation of our dealership or repair facility. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs including shocks & struts. Repair or replace critical vehicle components including brakes, transmissions, powertrain systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and diesel engines. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical problems and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance plans. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical systems repair tools to complete tasks efficiently. Follow manufacturer specifications and safety procedures while working on heavy equipment mechanics and automotive electrical systems. Maintain detailed service records, update auto estimating systems, and ensure high-quality customer service by clearly communicating repair needs. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive suspension systems, transmissions, diesel engines, brakes, and powertrain components. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and ability to interpret schematics for complex repairs. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, auto body repair, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement. Familiarity with heavy equipment mechanics and auto electrical systems is a plus. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism. Valid technical certifications or ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly desirable.
