Advisors keep communication, approvals, and parts moving, while leadership provides clear expectations and trusts experienced technicians to use their skills and judgment. The team works hard, celebrates accomplishments, and makes time to learn together. Employees are encouraged to offer ideas, ask questions, and help improve the way the shop operates. Respect, accountability, and teamwork are part of the everyday experience, from the front counter to the shop floor. We have served the Mount Pleasant and Charleston area since 1994. Our shop combines the stability and loyal customer base of an established business with continued investment in our people, facility, technology, and equipment. This is a place where an experienced technician can earn a strong living, keep growing, and still have time for a life outside the shop. Pay and benefits This position offers realistic annual earning potential of $100,000 to $150,000+, based on experience, ability, productivity, and performance. Technicians are paid through a hybrid compensation system that provides stability while rewarding production: A guaranteed weekly base provides dependable income during slower periods The guarantee is not carried forward as debt against future production Tiered billed-hour rates increase as production increases If your production earnings exceed the guaranteed base, you receive the higher amount Benefits include: Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM No Saturdays or Sundays Overtime is uncommon Company-paid health coverage at 75% of the individual employee premium Optional dental and family coverage available at the employee's expense Health Access Preventive benefits at no employee cost, including preventive care, mental health services, dental cleanings, vision screenings, gym memberships, fitness training, nutritional support, and tobacco cessation One week of paid vacation after the 90-day introductory period Two weeks of paid vacation after one year Three weeks of paid vacation after four years Three paid sick days each year Six paid holidays

with a company match of up to 3% ASE test reimbursement for successfully completed certifications Company-provided shirts and hats Routine oil changes for your primary commuting vehicle Shop lunches, team meetings, quarterly events, and company celebrations The work environment The shop operates with 12 service bays and a structured workflow designed to keep technicians productive without turning quality work into rushed work. Tekmetric is used for repair orders, workflow, approvals, parts, vehicle status, and digital vehicle inspections. Technicians document findings with detailed notes, photos, measurements, labor needs, and recommended parts. Advisors handle most customer communication, approvals, and coordination so technicians can concentrate on testing and repairs. Dedicated shop leadership helps with dispatching, difficult concerns, quality control, and workflow bottlenecks. Expectations are clear, feedback is direct, and capable professionals are not micromanaged. The shop services a broad mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles, with a smaller amount of light-duty diesel work. You can expect a combination of advanced testing, complex mechanical repair, and maintenance. The goal is not to chase car count. It is to provide enough quality work for technicians to produce while allowing the time needed to test, document, and repair vehicles properly. Both work areas have large HVLS Big A Fans and Portacool evaporative cooling equipment. One shop area is fully insulated, the second is scheduled for insulation by the end of 2026, and air conditioning is planned for both areas before summer 2027. Tools, technology, and training You will have access to: Two Snap-on ZEUS scan tools Autel MaxiSYS Ultra TOPDON Phoenix Max OPUS DrivePro 2 Ford IDS and FDRS capabilities GM programming capabilities OEM software and service information purchased when needed Access to a mobile module-programming specialist with additional OEM tooling ATS eight-channel oscilloscope Pressure transducer equipment Four-gas analyzer ProDemand Identifix ALLDATA Shop-owned specialty tools and major equipment Technicians provide the personal hand tools normally expected at their experience level. The shop provides the larger equipment, advanced testing technology, specialty tooling, and information systems needed to complete the work properly. Training is part of the regular work environment, not something saved for once a year. The team uses Today's Class for short daily training sessions and holds two Lunch and Learn sessions each month. Relevant local and industry training is also encouraged, along with ASE preparation and certification support. Requirements and preferred certifications This opportunity is best suited for an experienced, well-rounded technician who can independently handle advanced testing and complex mechanical repairs.
Required qualifications include:
Five or more years of professional automotive repair experience Advanced ability with electrical, drivability, network, and intermittent concerns Ability to build and follow a logical testing strategy using scan data, wiring diagrams, DVOMs, bidirectional controls, and professional service information Ability to independently complete complex engine, driveline, steering, suspension, cooling system, and other major repairs Experience working across domestic, Asian, and European makes Strong documentation and communication skills Consistent productivity without sacrificing workmanship or creating avoidable comebacks Ability to work independently while sharing knowledge and collaborating with technicians, advisors, and shop leadership Willingness to accept feedback, continue learning, and take ownership of the finished result Valid driver's license Personal hand tools appropriate for an experienced technician Strongly preferred qualifications include: ASE certifications ASE Master Technician status Experience using oscilloscopes and pressure transducers CAN and LIN network testing experience Module testing and programming experience OEM software experience Advanced drivability testing experience ASE certification is not required if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and ability.
