Job Description
Job Summary:
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all aspects of our equipment to ensure safe and continuous operation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Understanding of basic equipment and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, running and analyzing diagnostic test results, trouble shooting Kenworth equipment, disc braking systems, checking vehicle lighting systems, test driving vehicles to gauge performance, performing preventative maintenance and maintaining detailed records of service activities. Minimize turnaround time to keep equipment productive for operations. Maintain a safe, clean working environment. And any other duties as assigned. Preferences will be given to those with: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive trade Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components Strong team player who possesses excellent initiative, decision making skills and ability to work well with fellow team members. Ability to lift 75 pounds, standing, walking and bending. Must be able to work rotating schedule, including some weekend shifts and call-outs. Valid driver's license. Prefer applicant posses or, within reasonable time, be able to secure CDL to perform additional duties associated with maintenance and movement of equipment fleet and product.
