Now Hiring:
Experienced Fleet Mechanic Precision Mechanical, LLP - Rapid City, SD Precision Mechanical LLP is looking for motivated and experienced mechanic to join our team. If you have a passion for your trade, we want to hear from you!
Roles and Responsibilities:
The fleet mechanic will help maintain the company's fleet of trucks, service vans and various small and heavy equipment by performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations efficiently, safely. Comply with companies' safety and environmental programs and practices. Services may include, but are not limited to oil changes, tune-ups, suspensions, steering, basic and ABS brakes and exhaust systems. Installing GPS unites, ladder racks, toolboxes and shelving units in service vans and fleet vehicles.
DUTIES:
Promotes company by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area. Road tests vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly. Completes service and repair assignments correctly. Collects all necessary information before requesting parts (e.g., model year, etc.). Maintains sufficient personally owned tools; keeps tools in good working order. Notify driver if delays are expected. Promotes a productive working relationship with others. Provides clear and legible record of service completed. Assist other mechanics when needed. Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on tools and equipment. Ensure shop area is clean and organized. Stay up to date with the latest technical services through training, bulletins, campaigns, etc. Follows safety rules and regulations including OSHA and hazardous waste regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
3 years proven work history as a mechanic. High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid in-state driver's license and a good driving record. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Ability to use computer and calculator. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with employees, vendors and other contacts. Lifting to 70 lbs. occasionally
HOURS OF WORK
Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
