Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, small engine and 2 cycle equipment, and automotive vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, and transmission servicing to maximize equipment lifespan. Repair and overhaul diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and electrical components with precision. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to execute repairs and custom modifications. Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues related to heavy machinery operation and automotive diagnostics. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and comply with industry regulations; perform inspections on vehicle alignment, hydraulics, steering systems, and HVAC units. Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and repair procedures to support ongoing maintenance schedules. Skills Proven mechanic experience. Expertise in fabricating parts or components using welding and metalworking techniques. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery. Proficiency reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical assemblies. Knowledge of automotive repair including transmissions, air brakes, tire service, shocks & struts, suspension systems, HVAC units, and diesel engine repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other maintenance tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicle components. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status or technical issues.
